We have a lot of cherry trees in Seattle. Every spring, I can enjoy many different kind of cherry blossoms, even if I don't live in Japan. I am a very lucky girl!! Cherry blossoms make me happy.

When I see cherry blossoms, I always remember my Japanese life. I am thinking of my family, relatives and friends. Also, I missed Japanese culture, fashion, IZAKAYA( a Japanese style bar), TV show, yummy Japanese food and e.t.c......I hope, I want to visit to Japan sometime soon.

シアトルにはたくさんの桜の木があります。毎年春になると、たとえ日本に住んでいなくても、たくさんの種類の桜の花が楽しめるのです。私は本当に運がいいわぁ！！桜の花は、私をハッピーにしてくれるのです。

桜の花をみると、いつも日本での生活を思い出します。私の家族や親戚や友達（昔、担当させていただいていたお客様達も含みます）のことを思います。さらに、日本の文化やファッションや居酒屋やテレビ番組やおいしい食べ物やその他もろもろ。。。が懐かしく感じます。いつかまた日本に行きたいなぁ。

Sunday dinner

Last Sunday, one of our friends visited our house. He cooked a very yummy dinner for us. He used an oven to grill pork. Also, he made his special gravy sauce with the juice of the pork, wheat flour, extra virgin olive oil, salt, pepper and a little grind of coffee beans (this is his special technique!!). For a side dish, he made some mashed potatoes with savory bacon and butter.

His dinner menu was perfect with Chianti (our favorite Italian red wine) . It was very delicious!!

I think, he is an Iron Chef in Seattle. We really had a great time with this yummy dinner while we watched a new TV show. It was a very fun night. Let's do this again!!

先週の日曜日、私達の友人がウチに遊びに来ました。彼は私達のために、とってもおいしいディナーを作ってくれたんだよ〜。豚肉をグリルする（焼く）ために、オーブンを使いました。さらに彼は、豚肉から出た肉汁、小麦粉、エキストラ•バージン•オリーブ•オイル、塩、こしょう、挽いたコーヒー豆の粉（これが彼のスペシャル•テクニックです）で、彼の特製グレイビー•ソースを作成。サイド•ディッシュには、香ばしいベーコンとバターが入っているマッシュド•ポテトを作ってくれました。

彼のディナー•メニューは、キャンティ（私達の大好きなイタリアの赤ワイン）とピッタリ。本当においしかったよ！！

私は、彼はシアトルの「料理の鉄人」の一人だと思います。新しいTVショウを観ながらおいしいディナーを頂き、素敵なひとときを過ごしました。とっても楽しい夜だったわぁ〜。またやろうね！！
