Last week, my best friend Emi, visited Seattle. We used to work for the same company in Sendai-city Japan. We used go out, go to on trips, and go skiing.........we did a lot of stuff together.

The first day.....my darling and I picked up her at the air port. In the afternoon, we went to downtown Seattle to go shopping. I introduced her to a lot of cool shops. We walked around 12000 steps!! We came home about 8:30 P.M. Then Emi, my darling and I had a calm dinner at my house.

The second day..... we went to a nice cafe in our neighborhood for breakfast. Then, we went to Bellevue to eat yummy Vietnamese food. we then went shooting and then to a winery. We tasted a lot of wines at the Columbia Valley Winery, and then, I got a member ship card for their wine club.

The third day..... we visited one of my friend's house in Seattle. Emi, Mariko and I came from the same prefecture in Japan!! It is small world!! We had a great time with her. Then, we went to Pike Place Market for sightseeing. For dinner, Emi, my darling and I went to great pizza shop in our neighborhood. We played my darling's game, DEADFELLAS while we were eating. It was a very fun night.

The forth day....we went to Tillicum Village by ship, from pier 55 in Seattle. We had a nice cruse to the island that lasted about 1 hour. We could see a great view of Seattle's waterfront from our ship. When we arrived at Tillicum Village, they served "welcome clam soup". It was very nice!! Then, we saw a cool Indian dance show, and had a great lunch buffet. They cooked salmon in their traditional way. Their special salmon was just wonderful!! We enjoyed a lot of traditional Indian food. After lunch time, we walked around the island for a while. It was a very fun day for us.

The fifth day..... we went to a famers market in Ballard to get our food in the morning. In the afternoon, one of our friends Jarvis, came over to our place to cook his special food for Emi.
Chef Jarvis did great job!! He cooked a yummy Gumbo and a yummy Jambalaya for us.
I appreciate Jarvis' and my darling's entertainment. We had a great time.

The sixth day..... I cooked a chicken pie which we got it at the famers market in Ballard for our breakfast. Then, we drove her off to the air port. I will miss her a lot!!

It was very short time, like a dream for me. We did a lot of stuff but, it wasn't enough time for me..... The time went bye very fast.  I hope I can meet her again sometime soon. Thank you for visiting us from Japan!!

Love you, Emi......

MAKI
