Snoddy's wine night

Last weekend, one our friend visited to our house. He gave us a bottle of aged red wine. The wine was so great!! It had a smokey aroma and a deep berry taste.

We served a bottle of Chianti and appetizers. I cooked chorizo and mushroom kabobs, bacon wrapped dates, goat-cheese-and-prosciutto, crostini with honey and fig jam, green beans and, pecans and blue cheese salad. I hope, they matched with red wine.
We prepared the main dish (a small hamburger steak with Gorgonzola) but, we got full with these appetizers. So, I had no chance to cook the steak.

We enjoyed chatting, good wine, good music, good food and good friendship. We really had a great time with him. Thank you for visiting our place and your nice selection of red wine. Let's do this again some time soon!!

Birthday party at Cafe Lago

Recently, we had really cold weather here in Seattle. We did not have any snow in this year but, sometimes we had freezing temperature. I wore a lot of sweaters every single day.

We celebrated one of my favorite girls friend's Birthday at CAFE LAGO in Seattle. Over 20 friends joined her Birthday party. She is a very popular person in Seattle!! Everyone loves her.

There is a really great Italian restaurant in Seattle. The shop name is CAFE LAGO. Everything is just great!! Before the appetizers, they served a home made bread with Extra Virgin Oil from Italy. It was really yummy so, we could not stop eating this bread. And then, many appetizers came to our table, before main dish,  I ate a lot of food so, I could not finish my main dish. This time, I ordered their special beef steak. The dish was awesome!! It was very juicy and tasty.

We all really enjoyed a nice time with yummy food, yummy wine and a cozy feeling at this place. It was a  very fun night. We love you, Ann-Marie, and Happy Birthday!!

The shrimp feast

We invited our friends to the Snoddy shrimp feast. My darling made the main dish. He cooked a lot of shrimp with coconut oil and salt. It was very tasty!! I cooked some appetizers for us. One of the appetizers, I made was Caprese. It was very easy to make. And then, I tried make something new. I put some almonds in dried dates, and then I wrapped them with bacon. I baked them for a while in an oven. The other new dish was a salad. I mixed green beans, blue cheese and roasted pecans with mustard, vinegar and extra virgin olive oil dressing. We ate them all!! I was so happy they love our food.

We enjoyed good wine, good food, fun conversation and good friendship. It was fun night!!

The Christmas party 2012

We went to one of our family's Christmas party on 24th of December 2012. Every year,  they invited us to their party. We love their party because, we can meet a lot of our family.

The hosts are great!! He and his wife have a great sense of humor and she is the greatest chef in the world. If she had a cooking school, I want to join the school immediately!!

We had a great time with everybody, and we had a really happy, nice, cozy feeling at the same time. We love them!!

Last month, my PC had a problem. So, I could not upload my blog for a month. But, now, everything is O.K. I am pretty happy!!
