a chili competition in seattle 2011-01
Every year, my darling and I go to the state finals chili competition in Seattle. Our friends take part in tis competition. So, we were there to cheer them on. A lot of their friends visited there too.
The participants have to make their own style of red chili, green chili and salsa sauce. We payed $5.00 to get a tasting cup and a spoon. Then we can taste as many chilies as possible.
Their chili and salsa were sooooooooooooo great!!!!!
It was a nice day, we enjoyed cold beer and yummy chili!!

movie date 7-23-2011
Today, my darling and I went to the movie theater to watch an American super hero movie. The title was " Captain America -The First Avenger ". The character is a famous American comic book super hero.
It was a fun movie. The hero is cool!!!!!

面白い映画でした。そのヒーローは、なかなかカッコ良かったです。

family fun 2011-01
A couple weeks ago, my brother and sister-in-law visited to Seattle for almost 2 weeks. They stayed at our house a few times. We always stayed up late to playing a card game which was created by my darling (Deadfellas). We could not stop playing the game!!
On the first day, I cooked Japanese food for them. I served Kakinotane (hot spicy rice cracker and peanuts), Japanese Beer (Sapporo, Kirin and Asahi brands), Japanese sake (clear and nigori style of Momokawa brand), hand-rolled sushi, deep-fried marinated chicken, burdock kinpira and ginger taste ice cream.
The next day, my sister-in-law made great Thai food. We went shopping at the Pike Place Market to get certain kind of ingredients for her recipe. She cooked 2 kind of special dishes for us. They were so yummy!! Her cooking level was five stars!! We could enjoy genuine Thai food in Seattle.
Then, we went to the Barking Dogs tavern in Seattle to meet their friends. They had a great selection of beers. We enjoyed a lot of different kinds of beers. We really had a great time with them. My brother and sister-in-law were real cartoon characters, I love them a lot!!
